Thank you for everyone who donated clothes to our fundraising drive with Savers. We gathered and donated 2,500 lbs of clothes, where Savers awarded a cash bonus to Shining Light. A very special thank again to The Home Depot/Bartlett who donated a truck for this event.

November 19-20 Shining Light & Resurrection Catholic Church

A joint collaboration between Shining Light NFP and the Resurrection Catholic Church Social Concerns Commission for support 6 young families from Columbia have arrived in the area who were in need of help. These families had to leave their country due to the violent social conflicts within the country, and life-threatening situations facing their young children. They arrived with only a backpack with clothes. They needed basic necessities, as well as essential items to maintain a household. This collaborative effort gathered most of the things needed for these families.

Shining Light & Resurrection Collaborative Event to Support Columbian Families

Personal Testimonies

Resurrection Parishioner: Sleep well everyone! This weekend was a wonderful culmination of a vision presented to each of us that we pursued at all levels and costs to show the love and support we are taught through life. I recall traveling through Ireland this past July - witnessing the housing that was set up in tiny towns for people coming there from The Ukraine. I wondered if I would ever have an opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone fleeing to America. Each of you and us and we have achieved that opportunity as a TEAM. We are blessed and grateful this evening as we rest our eyes and thank our Lord. Amen.

Columbian Family: Thank you for all these blessings. I appreciate everything you do for us. May God and the Virgin bless each of the families that help us. Thank you for today's beautiful day

A Special “Thank You” to the Bartlett Home Depot, one of our most dedicated Sponsors, for the donation of live Christmas Trees to our clients.
